FAQs

Where is your sage grown?

Our sage is sustainably grown on private land in the mountains of southern California. We work directly with the farmers to ensure the health of these plants. The farmers protect the roots of the sage, so they can grow year after year.

Is burning sage bad for your lungs?

If you have asthma, specific allergies related to our sage varieties, or difficulty breathing in general, then please check with your doctor before using it. To be clear, our sage is burned as an incense - it SHOULD NOT be inhaled, smoked, used in cooking, or consumed in any other way. It is also best not be used in the same room as children or pets.

Is burning sage dangerous?

All of our products are 100% organic and are completely safe to burn. However, while you are burning sage you should never leave it unattended, and always have a shell or fire-safe bowl to hold your sage until the embers are no longer lit.

How do you put out a smudge stick?

After clearing and cleansing, extinguish your sage stick by gently pressing it into the abalone shell, a clay/ceramic dish, glass bowl, or ashtray. You can also allow it to burn out on its own as long as you are attending to it.

What's the best way to burn sage?

In every order we provide a free Smudging & Blessings Guide that provides guidelines for burning sage. If you are comfortable or experienced with burning sage, feel free to follow your own practice.

Shipping is free, but how long does it take to arrive?

We are proud to say all of orders typically arrive within 3-5 days of being placed. Orders are processed and shipped within 1-3 business days and then ship with First Class shipping through the USPS. Generally, packages take 1-3 business days to arrive once shipped! If your package still hasn't arrived after 4 business days from the date of shipment, please contact us and we'll help resolve the situation.

Do you ship outside of the United States?

As of now, our products are only available to customers within the United States. However, in the future we hope to be able to offer our sages to Canada and other countries.
